Motor car
Iqbal
(1877-1938)’s Motor
Jogindar made a point yesterday,
What a noiseless motor car is that of the knight!
Its graceful gait is not tumultuous,
Swift like lightning, silent like wind,
I said, It doesn't depend on the
motor car,
In the process of evolution every swift object is silent,
Culture of crying out for help has made the bell crippled,
Like morning breeze caravan of fragrance is silent,
Incessant noise of gurgle made the decanter unmoving,
But temperament of slow moving wine-cup
is silent,
To the imagination of the poet silence is wings of flight,
Silence has the capital of potential of eloquence.
